Apologies for the hiatus! I have…I don’t know where to start. Health crises. Custody battles. A new home. A new job, new career path. A new…life.
I’m studying a lot right now. I want to be a teacher. Well, I am a teacher. But it’s what I finally want to do. I don’t yet have my own classroom, but— that will come soon enough. I adore every single one of my kids…almost. I’ll admit there’s a handful of students I wouldn’t miss. But, honestly, I find myself connecting to nearly all of them. I will absolutely never forget some of them, either…
There’s the bouncy noodle who will sit every time you ask him…but if there isn’t a chair under his butt, he’ll just fall to the floor. It doesn’t matter, though, because he just bounces up again off whatever surface he happens to have landed on.
There’s the diva who likes to sit in the middle of the hallways, graciously waving to passersby with a huge grin on her face.
I had to call security on a particularly violent 4 year old one time. That’s pre-K for you.
Sometimes they make me sweet little notes. Or offer hugs when they can tell I’m frustrated.
…but anyway, I have other news! I have a girlfriend! Two, actually.
…as well as soooooo many stories.
I promise I’ll be back here frequently, because, as the one pointed out, “There’s a lot of information out there, but not enough good information.” I’ll do my best to balance that out!
